Job profile - The applicant shall be a holder of at least a Master’s degree (A-Level + 5) in Engineering, Administration, Law, Finance, Management, or Public Procurement management or any other degree deemed equivalent; - Have undertaken additional training courses in Procurement; - At least ten (10) years of professional experience in the field of Procurement; - Have a good knowledge of the procurement procedures of the major international and regional financial institutions (WB, ADB, UNDP, etc.); - Sound knowledge of IT and common software (Word, Excel, Power Point, E-mail); - Good knowledge of French or English; - The applicant shall: (i) carry out proper execution of procurement procedures, be of good moral character when performing his/her duties, have good analytical and writing skills, and working relationships with other Staff members; (ii) have the ability to coordinate multiple activities and mobilize synergies, strategic insight with a great capacity to adapt, provide strong recommendations, and have a keen sense of dialogue and negotiation, and master customer approach with a great ability to listen and be receptive to others; (iii) have a thorough sense of teamwork and show transformative leadership; (iv) be creative and of good moral character, have organizational, planning, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, and put customers first. N.B: Knowledge of English and French is an asset.
Native country: The applicant must be a national of one of the nine (9) NBA member countries, residing in Niger. Female applicants are strongly encouraged.
Job location and contrat duration: This is a contract-based job and it will be based at the NBA headquarters in Niamey, Republic of Niger. The initial duration of the contract will be one (01) year, renewable once, following a satisfactory performance evaluation.
