The Consultant is hereby requested to conduct an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) of the dam construction project at (name of the site) based on the requirements of national E&S legislation and the World Bank’s ESS. The main objective of the study is to identify all potential impacts and risks (physical, biological and socio-economic) of the project, to identify and analyse options that could avoid or minimise (where it is demonstrated that avoidance is not possible) potential negative impacts and risks, and to provide an effective Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) for manage residual impacts and risks. The study will be carried out in three (3) phases: (i) Scoping, (ii) Preliminary Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), and (iii) In-depth Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA).
